Student Affairs and Academic Registry Division

The offices of the Student Affairs and Academic Registry Division provide student services and administration before, during and after the students' educational period at Uppsala University. The Student Affairs and Academic Registry Division has about 60 employees divided into six particular offices:

Admissions Office

  • admission to courses and programmes
  • advice in questions about eligibility, evaluating grades and selection
  • establishing exchange students and late-applications into UPPDOK

Graduation Office

  • information about degree applications and issuance
  • credit evaluation of Swedish and foreign higher education

International Office

  • works to develop, administer and inform students and staff about exchange programmes
  • coordinates and assists in welcoming international guests. This is done in cooperation with the Akademiintendenturen.
  • actively works to strengthen the international perspective in all areas of the university

Study Counsellors and Career Office

  • counselling and information about studies and work life during drop-in visiting hours and the central student office
  • recruiting and receiving of new students at the undergraduate level
  • handles questions and issues about ethnic and social widening participation
  • continuing education for other study counsellors of Uppsala University

Student Records Office (UPPDOK)

  • providing information about the student register
  • support for users of the student register and the educational register, SELMA
  • providing statistical basis for the annual report for Uppsala University
