Uppsala University’s operator Ventelo AB has been acquired by AllTele Företag AB, and, as a consequence of this, all University mobile subscriptions need to have new SIM cards. You keep your current mobile phone number and the services included in the subscription. The data package volumes will be kept, or in some cases increased, at the same prices as before.
During week 20, Teleservice plans to distribute the new SIM cards to the department, or the equivalent, that the subscription is linked to in the billing system. The respective packets will indicate the organizational unit, phone numbers, and subscribers. Besides the SIM card, the packets will include information about porting date (takes place during night) and technical information. If you have not received a packet by 22 May, please contact Teleservice as soon as possible.
You need to be in Sweden for the porting to be executed, but we do have the possibility of postponing the date for those who are outside the country. Contact Teleservice if you will be abroad during the period 28-30 May for advice and information.
Settings for mobile internet and MMS need to be changed for all subscribers. The new settings, along with instructions, are available at: Settings mobile internet and MMS. After porting, a text message will be sent to the subscriptions that have the data package (fixed price) with information about the current APN value that is applied for manual settings for mobile internet. Subscribers without the data package use the APN value: ventelo.telia.se for manual settings.
The prefix for shared invoicing will be changed to *+140# for Android phones and *140# for other phone models.
The shared invoice will only include phone calls, which means it will no longer be possible to purchase SMS tickets, for example, on the private part of the invoice. All purchases of SMS services will wind up on the in-service invoice.
