Division for Development of Teaching and Learning

Uppsala university provides opportunities for professional development in higher education teaching through the Division for Development of Teaching and Learning (PU). The campus-wide courses and support system are open to all faculty members and graduate students with teaching responsibilities.

Teaching and Learning at Uppsala University, Guidelines for Educational Activity and Development

Our main mission is to:

  • offer training teaching courses to advance new teaching methods and enhance student learning in higher education
  • give consultations
  • initiate projects and develop new methods for teaching and learning in higher education

In response to the increasing diversity of both faculty and students, four full courses are presently taught in English. These are the five-week long basic course Academic Teachers Training Course , the more advanced three-week long Supervising PhD Students, we also give the one week Supervising Undergraduate Students and English in the Classroom.
